A little heart and soul...

Love it, hate it, but you have to admit, there's a ton of way cool and even bizarre stuff to do here in Los Angeles. As an L.A. native (and yes I was actually born and raised here), I know it's easy to get a bit jaded; ya we have our stereotypes and no we are not all waiters/actors/models/singers trying to get our big break, although, let's face it, we are a decent sized chunk of the population. But the fact that so many people travel here, to my hometown, with the hopes of changing their lives for the better and following their dreams, makes me proud to be an Angelino. I know this sounds a bit starry-eyed and for lack of a better word, cheesy, but Los Angeles really is a city of unique diversity, fabulous artists, incredible live music/theater and endless opportunity, all within an hour drive (or two if you are on the 405), you just have take advantage of it. So I've made it my mission (yes mission) to experience all this city has to offer, and not just the high-profile events L.A. is so famous for, but the small, less-publicized, unheard of venues, restaurants, art shows and live music that gives this city its soul.
