Finally made it to the Hotel Cafe on Cahuenga this past Monday. Much Aussie-ness to be had being Australia Day. KCRW presented Gabrielle Cilmi, Asa, Amy Correia and Hopkinson. Great stuff. Love the venue, intimate and plush but with that edgy vibe we expect from the Cahuenga corridor. Was definitely excited to see Hopkinson, and as always they delivered the goods. Only complaint: wish the set could have been longer since it was the albeit unofficial real ease of their award winning Debut album "Strangers to Ourselves". Perhaps next time!
